The Camden Boys’ Varsity Basketball program is proud to announce that senior guard Ryan Leos and junior forward Isaac Lynch have been selected to the 2023-24 Tri-Valley League Boys’ Basketball All-Star Teams. The honors were selected after a survey of the league’s coaches.
Leos and Lynch were chosen to the first team for the TVL Pioneer Division, while also nabbing a position on the second team for the TVL’s At-Large All-Star Team featuring both of its divisions.
With the award winning tandem paving the way, the Blue Devils had an impressive 16-5 campaign, with all five of its losses coming against teams that have appeared in the state rankings at some point this season. They finished second in the TVL Pioneer Division behind Central Valley Academy, and wrapped up the season in the Section III Class A Quarterfinals.
Leos, a 6’1 shooting guard, averaged 18 points per game and six rebounds a night for the Blue Devils. He was explosive from the perimeter as he converted 37 percent of three-point field goals for the season, and knocked down a school record 51 of them in total. He will be representing the Blue Devils at the inaugural CNY Basketball Coaches’ Association All-Star Game to be held at Phoenix High School on March 20th.
Lynch, a 6’3 power forward, averaged 17 points and nine rebounds per game for the Blue Devils. He was a force around the hoop and converted 52 percent of his shot attempts from the field.
Both athletes are making a repeat appearance on the league’s end-of-season honor roll. Leos reprises his Pioneer Division first team spot from a season ago, while Lynch moves up from the honorable mention squad in the Pioneer Division.
