Brooke and Ty

On Monday, June 10th, two Camden High School student-athletes were recognized by Section III for their commitment to athletics and academics. Seniors Ty Williams and Brooke Musch were among 190 student-athletes honored at the 35th annual Section III Scholar Athlete dinner held at Onondaga Community College.

Attendees came from all over Section III, as each member school is permitted to nominate their top overall male and top overall female student-athlete for recognition. Each student receives a scholarship check in the amount of $100, a commemorative plaque and a scholar-athlete ¼ zip jacket.

Williams is the son of Scott and Adja Williams. He is a multi-sport athlete who has participated in baseball and nordic skiing during his time at Camden High School. In the classroom, he is an outstanding student with an eighth place academic standing in the Class of 2024. Ty will attend the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in the Fall.

Musch is the daughter of Kristina and Jed Musch. She is a three-sport all-star in soccer, volleyball, and softball, and recently wrapped up a groundbreaking high school softball career by helping the Blue Devils claim their first Section III title. She is a multiple time all-state selection and led Section III this spring in hits (52), runs scored (52), runs batted in (50), home runs (9), and stolen bases (48). In the classroom, she is ranked fourth in academic standing among the Class of 2024. She has signed to attend Division I UMass Amherst, where she will play softball next year.

Congratulations!
