Mr. Christopher Centner, Principal of Camden Central High School, is pleased to announce the highest ranking students in the Class of 2024. The Camden Central School District congratulates all of our Top Ten Students for their academic achievements.
Leonardo Diehl is the Valedictorian of the Class of 2024. He is the son of Julie and Brian Young of Camden and Robert Diehl of Willet. Leo is choosing between several college acceptances, with presidential merit scholarships and early graduate school admission offers, to major in Biomedical Engineering. Leo plans to pursue an advanced degree either in medical school or a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering.
Marley Hilliker is the Salutatorian of the Class of 2024. She is the daughter of Shannon Wolcott and Brandon Hilliker of Camden. After graduation Marley will be attending the College of the Holy Cross in a major yet to be determined. Marley’s goals are to be happy, help others, and to surround herself with kind and supportive people.
3rd – Emma Watson is the daughter of Robb and Pam Watson of Cleveland. Emma is planning to attend Pratt University to pursue a degree in Graphic Design. Her goal is to use her degree to pursue a career in the arts.
4th – Brooke Musch is the daughter of Jed and Kristina Musch of Blossvale. Brooke plans to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst to major in Kinesiology and play NCAA Division I Softball. Her goals are to become a physical therapist or athletic trainer. She also plans to coach sports to pass on all she has learned in her years as an athlete.
5th – Dylan Keyes is the son of Heidi and Brent Willson of Camden. Dylan plans to attend SUNY Oswego and major in Cinema and Screen Studies. His goals are to pursue a career in directing, writing, or performing in films (particularly animated films). While the cinematic world is his main focus, Dylan hopes to continue his learning in music and creative writing to compliment his career.
6th – Wendy Kierpiec is the daughter of Heather and Joe Kierpiec of Taberg. Wendy plans to attend Mohawk Valley Community College to major in Biology. Her goals include pursuing her Veterinary Medicine degree closer to the west coast of the United States, opening her own Veterinary practice specializing in livestock medicine, starting a family, and traveling.
7th – Kaylynn Witzigman is the daughter of Tracey Witzigman of Camden. Kaylynn is enlisting in the US Navy after graduation. While pursuing a military career, she also intends to go to college. She has interests in psychology and the law. Her long term goals are to become a lawyer and tattoo artist.
8th – Ty Williams is the son of Scott and Adja Williams of Redfield. Ty plans to attend SUNY ESF where he will major in Natural Resource Management. His goal is to someday become a forest ranger, NYS Trooper, or landscape business owner. Whatever route he takes, he plans to stay local as he wants to continue serving in the Fire Department and being an active member of the community. Ty wants to give back to the people and community that helped make him the person he is today.
9th – Ava Platt is the daughter of Patricia Platt of Camden. Ava plans to attend college to study political sciences. She is currently deciding between LeMoyne and St. John Fisher. Her plan is to go on to law school and pursue a career as a lawyer with a possible future in politics. She also hopes to travel extensively, especially to Africa where she hopes to volunteer on an animal reserve.
10th – Nevaeh Myers is the daughter of Allyson Snow of Camden. Nevaeh plans to attend St. John Fisher and major in Inclusive Adolescence Education. Nevaeh plans to go on to become a speech language pathologist and live someplace sunny on a beach.
