On Friday, May 31st, the Camden High School Concert band traveled to the Springfield, Massachusetts area to participate in a music competition. Our student musicians performed two selections in front of two qualified adjudicators: Dr. Robert Hansbrough, a retired professor of music from the College of St. Rose, and Dr. Dominick Ferrara, a professor of music education and director of bands at the Berklee College of Music.
The Camden High School Music Department is pleased to share that they received first place and a coveted “Superior” rating for their performance. This outstanding achievement is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and talent, and the ongoing work and practice that happens at all levels within the music department.
To celebrate their success, the band spent a fun-filled afternoon at Six Flags New England in Agawam, Mass. It was a well-deserved reward for their incredible performance.
Congratulations!
