North Syracuse, NY - Two members of the Camden High School varsity track and field teams recently represented the District at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association State Championship held at Cicero-North Syracuse High School on June 10th and 11th.
Senior Lizzy Lucason put the finishing touches on a remarkable high school running career by landing a pair of medals. In the overall competition, she placed fifteenth in the 1,500 meters in 4:39.07, and tenth in the 3,000 meters with a 10:06.96. Among Division II competition, Lucason got on the awards podium in both competitions with a pair of fourth place finishes.
Junior Connor Dean powered out a jump of 6.34 meters to place in fourteenth.
Back on campus, Lucason and Dean were each recently presented with awards signifying them as the Camden High School Female and Male Athletes of the Year, respectively.
