Spooktacular

STEM doesn't have to be scary, but it certainly was seasonably spooky on Wednesday, October 16th. That evening, McConnellsville Elementary School presented its annual STEM Spooktacular for children and families.

Over the course of the event, students rotated across different stations with fun and memorable activities designed to test their skills. Students built a fence for the "Creepy Carrot" Challenge in the library, built a bridge with cups and string with Mrs. Holmes, and made hand puppets, parachutes, monsters with random components, and towers made of cotton swabs in the cafeteria. There was also a pumpkin investigation exercise to test comparison and critical thinking skills with Connected Community Schools.

It was an outstanding evening of hands-on learning activities for all!
